How this estimate works
A statistical model, refit weekly across the in-stock catalog, estimates what a coffee with these listed attributes typically sells for per ounce. Each multiplier compares one trait against the average lot in this market; the roaster line covers brand and sourcing together, which this model cannot separate. Bag size is shown separately, priced at the rate observed across sizes of the same coffee, because it says nothing about the coffee itself. The distribution counts every in-stock listing in the comparison group, with at least 15 listings from three roasters and no roaster supplying more than 60% of it. Decaf, blends, variety segments, processing families and bag formats stay separate. Origin, roast and selling currency can broaden as the group label indicates. Prices are converted to USD per ounce; shipping and differences in tax treatment are not adjusted. The model reads listed attributes only: the quality of the specific lot in the bag is not observable, so a price above the typical band is not evidence of overpricing.
Some listing details are missing or have limited model coverage, so the typical band shown is wider than usual.

Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 23% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 43% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.

“I have been ordering your coffee’s and I have to say that this one hits for sure!! The peach flavor slaps and then the brown sugar and chocolate notes mellow it down for a well balanced cup!! It give a tea like mouth feel for me when I do a pour over. It also does very well as a drip coffee. I am a fan of this coffee for sure!!”

How ratings count toward the Index
To count toward Cherrybook Index, an aggregate must come from a supported source, match this product, include at least 5 ratings, and have been refreshed within 90 days. Its weight is 12% for 5–24 ratings, 15% for 25–99, or 18% for 100 or more. Higher tiers require another base signal; a ratings-only lot stays at 12%.

One thread author expresses curiosity about Portrait roasters and mentions a blend with Rwandan and Colombian coffees described as an experimental natural and washed process with green apple, strawberry, and brown sugar tasting notes. Another thread author praises a washed coffee from Rwanda roasted by Portrait, but expresses mixed-to-negative feedback on a natural Paraineima from Finca La Union in Honduras, finding it too funky, amorphously fruity, muddled, and too roasty for their preferences.

I sung the praises of a washed coffee from Rwanda that was roasted by Portrait last week. Unfortunately, I cannot heap the same praise on a natural Paraineima from Finca La Union in Honduras that was also roasted by Portrait. It is funky and amorphously fruity, too muddled for me to pick out any particular fruit tastin
