Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-24

These terms govern your use of cherrybookcoffee.com (“Cherrybook”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t, stop using Cherrybook.

What Cherrybook is

Cherrybook is a specialty coffee discovery and comparison site. We catalog coffees sold by independent roasters, normalize their data into a common schema, and help you find, compare, and track coffees you’re interested in.

We are not a seller of coffee. Every purchase happens on the roaster’s own website, under their terms. If you have a question about an order, a shipment, or a refund, contact the roaster directly — we cannot help with it.

Accounts

You don’t need an account to browse Cherrybook. If you want features like wishlists, back-in-stock alerts, or saved tasting notes, you can create one using your email address.

  • You must provide an email address you control.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU).
  • One account per person; don’t share sign-in links.

Acceptable use

When using Cherrybook, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the site without our written permission.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or probe the site for vulnerabilities.
  • Use the site to harass, stalk, or harm anyone.
  • Use the site to send spam or unsolicited commercial email.
  • Infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Use the site for anything illegal where you live or where we operate.

Our data and how it gets there

Cherrybook catalogs coffees from independent roasters’ public product pages. We do this politely — honoring standard web protocols, identifying ourselves clearly in our user-agent, and rate-limiting our requests. We aggregate factual product data (origin, process, price, tasting notes), not wholesale copies of roasters’ marketing copy.

If you’re a roaster and want to remove your catalog from Cherrybook, correct information we’ve published, or discuss an affiliate partnership, see the For Roasters page.

Commercial links and disclosure

Some outbound links on Cherrybook — typically the “Buy on [roaster]” button on coffee pages — are affiliate links. When you click through and purchase from the roaster, we may earn a small commission (typically 5–10% of the bag price). The commission is paid by the roaster out of their own margin; we never add any markup to your order.

Affiliate status does not affect Northscore, search rankings, comparison results, or editorial verdicts. Our full disclosure of how commercial relationships work (and what they don’t touch) is on the Disclosure page.

No warranty on catalog data

Cherrybook pulls data from third-party sites. We make a good faith effort to keep it accurate and fresh, but we can’t guarantee it. Prices, stock status, and product details may be out of date by the time you see them. Always confirm on the roaster’s own site before buying.

Cherrybook is provided “as is” with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cherrybook and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or purchases you made based on information you saw on Cherrybook. Our total liability for any claim is capped at $100.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing privacy@cherrybookcoffee.com.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if your account has been inactive for 3+ years, or if we stop operating the service. We’ll give you reasonable notice when we can.

Intellectual property

Cherrybook’s own content — editorial reviews (“Cherrybook Reviews”), methodology (Northscore), design, code — is ours. Don’t copy or republish it without permission.

Product names, logos, and marketing copy belong to the roasters who own them. We display them for the purpose of identifying and comparing their products — nominative fair use. We don’t claim any affiliation or endorsement unless we explicitly say so.

For copyright concerns, see the DMCA page for the full takedown + counter-notification procedure, or email dmca@cherrybookcoffee.com.

Changes to these terms

When we make material changes, we update the “Last updated” date at the top. If you have an account, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Cherrybook after that, you’re accepting the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Cherrybook is operated. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless an applicable consumer protection law grants you rights to a different forum.
