Cherrybook Index (CBI)
Evidence-of-quality score, not a cup score. Methodology
68
Sparse signal
Confidence1 of 7 signals on file
Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 18% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 55% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 91.0 shrunk to 68.5 = 68.

Just an FYI because I was continuing my coffee/tea tour of DC today based on some old posts on /r/coffee reccing places. I enjoyed the Small Planes Arboretum espresso blend. Extremely syrupy and sweet. Bought a bag for home use. Next on my list is Swings. They distribute in Baltimore so their 4 Mile espresso is my main
