Sparse signal
Confidence1 of 7 signals on file
Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 18% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 55% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 76.0 shrunk to 61.7 = 62.

Eight independent Reddit threads are strongly positive about Chromatic Coffee with freshness and price caveats. Contributors praised Gamut and a delicious shot, called Chromatic's cups consistent and its batches awesome, and highlighted chocolate, butterscotch, and Ethiopian complexity. One brewer found a day-old Limu Gera acidic and not tasty, and another noted that excellent pour-overs and beans were relatively pricey.

Right now I'm loving some Verve Street Level (Santa Cruz technically, not Bay), Chromatic Gamut, and some others, but am constantly looking for new roasters to try. I typically prefer a nice comfort blend (think BB Hayes Valley or CC Hologram) but things like Street Level are great too. What are your favorites that I s

I love Chromatic! Slightly off topic - but could you share what beans you picked up from there?
- r/Coffee · 13↑ · How many days to wait after roast date to brew?
Got some new beans recently at chromatic coffee and realized the roast date on the bag is yesterday. How many days should I wait until its good for v60 pour over? **edit: I should clarify, I tried to brew some of their limu gera beans which were highly recommended, and it was really acidic and not tasty, which was surp

I've tried only about 2 dozen places off the list and I'd say Saint Frank has the worst pourover in the Bay Area. Now I live in the building next to Chromatic, who has one of the best and most consistent cups of coffee I've had, great beans too, although a bit pricey at $6.24 + tax for pourovers. Also, I was under the.

...ect and my extraction times were seriously amateur, but... *I’m blown away by the results!!* I bought this delicious single origin Ethiopian roast (if you’re in the Bay Area, give Chromatic coffee some love) and up until now the only way I could enjoy it was with the Aeropress. So much more complexity using the V60.

After tasting some gamut from chromatic coffee as an americano I got incredible chocolate and butterscotch notes as described. But my home roasts have been lack luster at best. I've roasted a variety of beans and wasnt able to get any of the cupping notes (or maybe my palette is just untrained, so far any citrus just t
