Hit up a bunch of coffee places on my recent visit to Tokyo and couldn't help myself. I've always loved Covert in Shinjuku which is basically a less busy Glitch but I think Apollon's Gold and Coffee County are definitely new favourites.

Local shop was offering a pourover with some Apollon’s Gold beans today. Pretty good overall, though surely not worth the $10 paid. Wish I could have taken the beans home and pushed the extraction a bit harder, but happy I tried it!

I just couldn’t justify $118 for a 100g bag of Nomad SL34, but it didn’t stop me from trying a cup. Luckily if you by a bag of any of their beans you get a free (up to $9) drink or pay the difference. So I got this Apollon’s Gold Sydra Washed and paid $13 for the SL34.

Who can we recommend? I seem to be always disappointed with the quality vs top tier international roasters I've tried (Prodigal, Tim Wendelboe, Apollon's Gold) Had some good ones from Market Lane but so many seem to be hit and miss. Prefer light to Nordic roast and natural, don't mind some anaerobic! Shill me a few
