Mostly fruit, a little citrus, a little cocoa.
The roaster’s notes: raisins, yellow plums, red berries, cherries, orange, raspberries, milk chocolate.
Mapped from the roaster’s tasting notes to the SCA flavor wheel: our reading of their notes, not the roaster’s own categories.

Three Reddit contributions give Koppi Roasters a mixed but favorable picture. One brewer struggled to get good flavor from two Ethiopian coffees. Another detailed a Finca El Paraiso they considered among their best recent coffees, and a third described a Burundi coffee as awesome despite some under-extraction.
...hat switching to a decent grinder would improve my coffee but until now i've been a bit disappointed. At the moment i have 2 ethiopian coffees from koppi (nano challa & biftu gudina) and i really struggle to get a decent flavor out of it with the aeropress. So I've been brewing some awesome beans (Burundi is the origin and roaster is Koppi in Sweden). I'm getting a bit of under-extraction I think, but I'm not great at detecting under/over extraction. The beans were roasted on 16th December. I know that is not as fresh as I prefer, but my favourite third wave shop had them

Cherrybook summary of the video
In this video filmed at Mikkeller Bar, the founders of Koppi Roasters discuss their collaboration with Mikkeller to release Corpse, described as the world's first coffee IPA. They explain how they selected an Ethiopian coffee from Guji whose citrus and floral profile pairs naturally with the hop characteristics of the beer.
From Thomas Schøn:
“We were going to be a beer maker's dinner range by Mikel and Gastro in Helsingborg, and Mikel came in during the day with a couple of friends.”
“Why no one is making light coffee beer, because everyone's making stouts or porters, but we thought, why not make a super awesome IPA flavored with coffee?”
“Coffee doesn't have to be dark and smoky and burnt-like; it can also be fruity and citrusy and flowers, just like hops.”

Reviewers and outside coverage present Koppi as a technically meticulous roaster with a creative approach to flavor pairings. Third-party features highlight their careful management of roasting mechanics like airflow, as well as innovative collaborations such as brewing a coffee IPA with Mikkeller using light, fruit-forward Ethiopian beans. Outside observers emphasize their philosophy that specialty coffee should highlight bright citrus and floral notes rather than traditional dark, smoky characteristics.
