Cherrybook Index (CBI)
Evidence-of-quality score, not a cup score. Methodology
81
Strong
Preliminary
Confidence3 of 7 signals on file
Score is partially shrunk toward a neutral 50; read directionally until more source families land.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 33% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 18% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 85.9 shrunk to 79.6 + bonuses = 81.

The Proud Mary in Portland has some insanely good food and really fun coffees. They’ve recently cut down on their specialty pour over menu which may just be seasonal. I’ve never seen this much selection of bags and tins here though. Ghost Rider is my favorite sub $20 from them

Regarding heart vs proud Mary — I was in Portland not all that long ago and had both. Heart i think has a really high level of consistency but it’s rare that I’m wowed by a coffee (and shot) like I was at Proud Mary. Just my 2c

From Black & White Coffee Roasters, discussing El Salvador | Llano Grande:
“It is grown by a pretty magical family known as the Gorito family. This lives 1750 meters above sea level at the tippy top of a farm named Mamacata.”
“Now, the coffee I'm using today is of no exception and is my favorite example of these two magical forces working together. It is a coffee that is grown, pretty naturally, at Mamacata, Panama.”
“Now, before I taste my first sip of espresso, I'll go through tasting notes for espresso. Strawberry, bergamot, blackberry, a medium weight, a slippery texture, as well as a really long, lingering finish that is reminiscent of milk chocolate.”
