Cherrybook Index (CBI)
Evidence-of-quality score, not a cup score. Methodology
66
Noted
Preliminary
Confidence3 of 7 signals on file
Score is partially shrunk toward a neutral 50; read directionally until more source families land.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 33% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 18% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 69.8 shrunk to 66.3 = 66.

Three independent Reddit threads give Spyhouse Coffee a mixed-positive view. One Twin Cities commenter named Spyhouse among their favorite roasters. Another brewer said fresh Spyhouse espresso beans were much better than Lavazza Super Crema. In a separate coffee flight, the poster described Spyhouse cold brew as sour with a pistachio flavor and ranked it last among three samples.

i would recommend trying out Bootstrap out of St. Paul, and Five Watt out of Minneapolis. (Spyhouse and Dogwood are my other two favorites)

Fairgrounds coffee flight in Wicker Park. From left to right: Metropolis - slightly bitter earthy flavor. Stumptown - slightly sour but sweet with a smooth finish Spyhouse - sour pistachio flavor. The Spyhouse was my least favorite.
- r/Coffee · 3↑ · Twin Cities Spyhouse vs Lavazza Super Crema
Just switched from super Crema to a fresh bag of Spyhouse espresso beans. Granted the age difference, gotta say Spyhouse is way better.
