Cherrybook Index (CBI)
Evidence-of-quality score, not a cup score. Methodology
63
Sparse signal
Confidence2 of 7 signals on file
Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 23% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 43% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 72.5 shrunk to 63.0 = 63.

Look, I'm not overly familiar with Square Mile's pricing, I've only had their coffee a few times in the past and I really liked it! I guess it depends on the sample of coffees. I just went on their website and looked at the pricing and saw that half of their coffees were 30+ euro. I don't really care if Square Mile is.

...gives me a result that’s a middle ground between a filter coffee and a moka brew, and I’m enjoying the results thus far. I’ve also been buying more from Square Mile and Friedhats which tend to specify espresso or filter on the packs. So two questions: 1) how do roasters differentiate between espresso and filter blen
