Noted

Sparse signal

Confidence2 of 7 signals on file

Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.

How confidence affects the score

Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 23% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 43% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.

The math on file: renormalized base 74.0 shrunk to 63.8 + bonuses = 67.

About Temple Coffee Roasters

Community reputation · Reddit

Well-regarded· sentiment 82/100

Five Reddit contributors give a largely positive view of Temple Coffee Roasters with one value caveat. One describes brighter, nutty, and toasted flavors from Guatemala Hunapu. Another calls the Dharma blend an all-time favorite espresso. A repeat buyer says about 24 of 25 bags were exceptional and appreciates free brewed samples in Temple cafes. Another says Wonderblend had been great, while a Sacramento visitor says their cafe drink was good but not worth a seven-dollar latte price.

...t was brewing!! I always do a V60 in the morning and I do a coffee club so I've always got pretty good beans. The one I made today was a Guatemalan Hunapu from Temple Coffee Roasters in Sacramento, CA. While it brewed, I noticed a nutty and kind of toasted smell. After I poured my cup, I sipped it and I couldn't bel

Temple as in Sacramento Temple?:) espresso as in the Dharma blend? If so, that is a true shame. My all time favorite espresso blend

  • r/Coffee · 125↑ · Some coffee just sucks...

My suggestion is to wait for a response from Temple Coffee. I have purchased approximately 25 bags of their coffee and all but one has been exceptional, IMHO. They may offer to send a replacement bag. I appreciate how they offer free brewed samples in their cafes - a practice that I wish other roasters would follow too

  • r/Coffee · 15↑ · Extraction of blends vs single origins

I have only bought single origins for the last couple years, but ventured to try wonderblend by temple. It has been great so far, but made me raise the question: Are the two different origins in a blend extracted at different rates? Essentially, are the Colombian grounds under extracted and the Ethiopian grounds over e

I'm looking for recommendations in Sacramento (downtown area, preferably) Thanks! Edit: thank you for the recommendations! I went to Temple. It was good, but not $7 latte good. I'll try Scorpio next time.
