Roaster · Seattle, WA
11 lots in stock, mostly Ethiopia, Colombia and Guatemala.
Coverage is below 50%. Available roaster-level evidence comes from Reddit. Per-lot evidence from SCA grades, Coffee Review entries, and public on-shop product ratings is limited across the catalog. With limited signal, scores are also pulled toward a neutral 50 baseline by the Cherrybook Index methodology, so lots can read flatter than the actual cup quality differences between them. The average Cherrybook Index therefore leans more heavily on roaster-level reputation than per-lot quality.
Roaster signals

Per-lot signals (averaged)
Vary across lots; averaged over 11 in-stock lots.
Bonuses earned (per lot)
Base components are renormalized over whatever signals are available for each lot. SCA + Coffee Review are capped at 40% combined to keep the cupping story from dominating. Bonuses (accolades, awards, editorial coverage) and freshness decay are applied on top.

Four independent Reddit threads give Anchorhead a strongly favorable picture. Drinkers praised a favorite blueberry-forward espresso, tasteful milk drinks, clean and tasty Ethiopian coffee, and stellar brewed results.
I just bought some Ethiopian coffee from Anchorhead and, while I can appreciate how clean and tasty the coffee is, I don't think my palette is really ready for that kind of acidic, bright coffee yet. I've just recently got into coffee and I've only had robust, coffee, chocolaty, & caramel notes my whole life. I don't w
Try Anchorhead's Leviathan espresso. Then primary component is an Ethiopia Aricha, which is a black-and-blueberry bomb. The Brazil component mellows it out a bit with some nice milk chocolate notes. It's one of my favourite espressos that I've ever pulled at home.
...ups brewed on their machines. Today I took delivery of a Moccamaster KB741, and immediately brewed a 6-cup (750ML) batch with 41g of freshly ground coffee from Anchorhead in Seattle. I have to say the results are stellar! I'm sure if I went through every step of making a perfect Chemex I'd have a slightly better cup
I’m not usually a fan of flavored milk drinks but Anchorhead does these tastefully.
