How this estimate works
A statistical model, refit weekly across the in-stock catalog, estimates what a coffee with these listed attributes typically sells for per ounce. Each multiplier compares one trait against the average lot in this market; the roaster line covers brand and sourcing together, which this model cannot separate. Bag size is shown separately, priced at the rate observed across sizes of the same coffee, because it says nothing about the coffee itself. The distribution counts every in-stock listing in the comparison group, with at least 15 listings from three roasters and no roaster supplying more than 60% of it. Decaf, blends, variety segments, processing families and bag formats stay separate. Origin, roast and selling currency can broaden as the group label indicates. Prices are converted to USD per ounce; shipping and differences in tax treatment are not adjusted. The model reads listed attributes only: the quality of the specific lot in the bag is not observable, so a price above the typical band is not evidence of overpricing.
Some listing details are missing or have limited model coverage, so the typical band shown is wider than usual.

Score is heavily shrunk toward 50; treat as a placeholder until more sources arrive.
How confidence affects the score
Coverage measures signal availability, not cup quality. This coffee has 23% of the signal universe on file. Missing sources are dropped, remaining weights are renormalized, and the result is shrunk toward a neutral 50 baseline by 43% so one thin signal cannot carry the score on its own.
The math on file: renormalized base 81.7 shrunk to 68.3 + bonuses = 68.

“I’ve tried making this as an espresso (cappuccino) five times now. The beans are not bad, but I always have a hard time extracting citrus notes, and I guess co-fermenting doesn’t drastically make things easier in this case. It’s not an offensive bean, but unfortunately not my favourite in the impressive lineup at this roastery.”

“Really solid co-ferment that balances well with the terrior itself, not just process. Definitely worth trying if you already like the banana and strawberry ones”

“Encore une démonstration de précision chez 94 Celcius. Ce lot colombien offre une séparation des saveurs remarquable : une attaque franche et lumineuse d'agrumes doux (mandarine/orange amère) soutenue par un corps soyeux et une finale gourmande chocolatée. La tasse est d'une propreté impeccable (clean cup) tout en étant incroyablement goûteuse. Que ce...”

How ratings count toward the Index
To count toward Cherrybook Index, an aggregate must come from a supported source, match this product, include at least 5 ratings, and have been refreshed within 90 days. Its weight is 12% for 5–24 ratings, 15% for 25–99, or 18% for 100 or more. Higher tiers require another base signal; a ratings-only lot stays at 12%.

Two Reddit commenters describe strongly positive experiences with 94 Celcius. One says the roaster pairs experimental selections with origin character and balance, and counts several recent releases among their favorites of the year. Another says they buy regularly, praises the roaster for continuing to buy from producer partners through difficult harvests, and describes a generally light, fruit- and floral-forward style that works for both manual brewing and espresso.

I've been really impressed with 94 Celcius lately. They seem to do a great job selecting more experimental coffees while still keeping a sense of origin and balance in the cup. Some of their recent releases have been among my favorite coffees this year. The process of ordering on Eightounce was worth it ?
