Origin guide
Best Honduras coffee
206 in-stock lots · 113 roasters carrying · avg Cherry's Index 70 · median $1.97/oz
Honduras has been quietly building the case to be Central America's most underrated specialty origin. The country produces specialty volume comparable to Guatemala but at materially lower prices, and the cup quality of the top lots has reached parity with the more-recognized origins. Specialty production concentrates in the Marcala region (PDO-protected) and Santa Barbara, with Copán, Comayagua, and El Paraíso producing meaningful specialty volumes too. The varietal mix favors Bourbon, Catuai, Pacas, and increasingly Geisha — Honduran Geisha is one of the more interesting price-quality stories in 2026, with multiple roasters (Phil & Sebastian, Heart, Black & White) building programs around small-producer Geisha lots from Santa Barbara at sub-$2/oz prices.
